The Day of Arafah is one of the greatest days on which a servant draws closer to his Lord through supplication and remembrance. Supplication on this blessed day carries great merit, for on it mercy descends, sins are forgiven, and souls are saved from the Fire. Supplicating to Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, on the Day of Arafah brings tranquility to the heart and inner peace, and strengthens the certainty that Allah is All-Hearing and answers supplications. It is a great opportunity to renew one’s covenant with the Creator, seek repentance and forgiveness, and ask Allah for success in matters of this world and the Hereafter. Therefore, every Muslim should seize these precious moments to pray with sincerity, devotion, and certainty that their prayers will be answered.

Recommended Times and Circumstances for the Prayer on the Day of Arafah

From after the sun has passed its zenith (the beginning of the Dhuhr prayer time) until sunset, which is the most likely time for supplications to be answered on this day.
During fasting for those who are not performing the Hajj, since the supplication of one who is fasting is answered and never rejected.
During moments of solitude, humility, and submission before Allah, the Exalted, while taking care to face the qiblah and raise one’s hands.
