يُعد الدعاء للميت من أعظم الأعمال التي تنفع المتوفى وتخفف عنه في قبره. بعد الموت ينقطع عمل الإنسان إلا من دعاء صادق يصله من الأحياء. يمنح هذا الدعاء الميت رحمة ومغفرة من الله تعالى ويرفع درجاته في الجنة. كما يبعث في قلب الداعي الطمأنينة والسكينة، لأنه يدرك أنه يقدم هدية روحية ثمينة لمن فقد، مما يعزز رابطة المحبة والأخوة التي لا تنقطع بالوفاة، ويعكس صدق الوفاء والإخلاص للمتوفى.

الأوقات والحالات المستحبة لدعاء الميت

  • أثناء صلاة الجنازة وبعد الانتهاء من الدفن مباشرة لسؤال الله له بالتثبيت والمغفرة.
  • في الثلث الأخير من الليل، حيث تتنزل الرحمات ويستجيب الله تعالى للدعوات.
  • بين الأذان وإقامة الصلاة، فهو من الأوقات التي لا يُرد فيها الدعاء.
  • أثناء السجود في الصلاة، لكون العبد في أقرب حالة إلى ربه.
  • يوم الجمعة، وتحديدا في ساعة الاستجابة التي تكون غالبا قبل غروب الشمس.
  • عند نزول المطر، لأنه وقت تتنزل فيه الرحمة والبركة وتُرجى فيه إجابة الدعاء.
