Prayer for good fortune and prosperity

Sustenance and blessings are among the bounties of God that every Muslim seeks, and supplication and turning to God are the key to these great blessings. Here is this blessed supplication to ask for ease in one’s affairs and an abundance of sustenance.

A Written Prayer for Goodness and Sustenance

O God, let Your lawful provisions suffice me instead of Your unlawful ones,

And, thanks to you, I am content with no one but you.

Narrated by Ahmad, al-Tirmidhi, and al-Hakim

O God, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Great Throne, our Lord and Lord of all things,

The Source of love and the essence, and the home of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Qur'an,

I seek refuge in You from the evil of everything—You are the One who holds it by the forelock,

You are the First—there is nothing before You—and You are the Last—there is nothing after You,

When You are the Manifest, there is nothing above You, and when You are the Hidden, there is nothing below You,

Pay off our debts and free us from poverty.

Narrated by Muslim

O Allah, Possessor of the Kingdom, You grant the kingdom to whomever You will, and You take the kingdom away from whomever You will,

And You exalt whom You will and humble whom You will; in Your hand is all good. Indeed, You are All-Powerful over all things,

The Most Merciful in this world and the Hereafter—You grant them to whomever You will, and withhold them from whomever You will,

Have mercy on me with a mercy that will make me independent of the mercy of anyone other than You

Narrated by al-Tabarani

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and sorrow, and I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness,

I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from being overwhelmed by debt and from being subjugated by others.

Narrated by Abu Dawud

O Allah, set my religion aright, grant me inner peace, and bless my sustenance.

Narrated by Ahmad

O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and deeds that are accepted.

Narrated by Ahmad and Ibn Majah

O Allah, forgive me, guide me, provide for me, and grant me well-being,

I seek refuge in Allah from the constriction of the place on the Day of Resurrection.

Narrated by al-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah
